Admiring Mies Van Der Rohe’s Barcelona chair, we sought to create our own version with similar proportions. The finish, using a crimped wire brush, highlights a process typically used to remove rust from metals, now employed aesthetically.

The PHOENIX chair will debut at the International Contemporary Furniture Festival in New York from May 19th to 21st, 2024. For this occasion, the fabric choice nods to the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport.
