Bibiko Restaurant
The Korean restaurant Bibiko offers a bibimbap bar concept that aims to democratize high-end Korean catering by remixing traditional dishes and ingredients. In order to promote the values of the venue, Rainville Sangaré designed a space based on the principles of community and sharing.
Using an integrated approach at every stage of the design process, Rainville Sangaré enhanced a previously abandoned building in the heart of the Mile-End. The main challenge was to brighten the space, given the presence of a single window providing natural light.
The palette of materials and colours illuminates and provides a welcoming environment for clients and staff. The space features a central open kitchen. The main seating area consists of three large tables that emphasize the communal aspect of the food. The blue metal stools offer a touch of colour and surprise with their bold shape.
